busy weekend

It was a super busy weekend that started out with car troubles so I couldn't make it to WW on Saturday - or work either. I was bummed about missing WW but not about missing work. I got to spend the day with my dad and we haven't been able to do that for a while so I was actually thrilled it all worked out that way. I spent the rest of the day with my mom which I also hadn't done in a while so it was a very nice family Saturday! I weighed myself at home on Sunday morning and figured I'd lost 3-4lbs last week. I am down one size in my jeans and I think my knees are feeling a little better. I'm feeling pretty good right now. I just started a new book - the "how to" follow up to the last book I read Feeding the Hungry Heart. I have my second therapy appointment tomorrow afternoon. I've been trying to catch myself from speaking negatively to myself. Not an easy task but I'm working on it.

I was planning on going to my first yoga class (not in the safety of my lovely sister's home) yesterday but I ended up spending the ENTIRE day outside digging planting beds, transplanting hosta and planting three new shrubs in the front. It was a lot of hard work but I was thrilled to do it. I love digging in the dirt. Every muscle in my body aches today but that actually feels good too. It felt like quite an accomplishment that I followed the project through to the end. There's a bit of other yard work (weeding, pruning) that needs to be done but the planting was the biggest part. I can't wait until the hosta start popping up! I was bummed though that I missed yoga but I just knew if I stopped there was no telling when I'd get it finished.
